![]() ![]() ![]() You might also explain to the sales guy your dilemma-they might have a trailer that can help(drop-deck, folding tounge, smaller tires, etc). Before you make too many plans, I would go to a trailer shop/dealer and bring a tape measure with you. The deck of your trailer will almost certainly be at least 12" above the ground. I have also seen folding trailer tounges-pretty common on boat trailers, that allow you to fold the tounge away when parked. You just have to make sure your garage is pretty level to do this, or you will be chasing run-away vehicles out into the street. ![]() They also make wheel dollies/cradles for the same purpose.(think little creepers for each wheel). You can do this with some floor jacks, or they make wheel jacks (called go-jacks, I believe) for this purpose. No really, it was, and I did use it for that once when I had to go up there and fix her truck! Every time I went up there to visit, we would get some sort of notice-it was horrible!Īnyway, on a more serious note, if you go with the jacks on the back of the trailer(like the man said-use two) make sure you use wheel chocks so you don't push that trailer into your garage wall while loading your Ranger on to it! (here might be a good use finally for that gi-normas book of rules they gave you!)Īlso, you might be able to put the Ranger and/or the trailer sideways in the garage. My girlfriend used to own a house in a gated community with a book of by-laws that was big enough to use as a wheel chock. Move to a cooler neighborhood with fewer constricting rules! So am I doomed to not be able to get a ranger? It'd be a shame since this purchase was wife-sanctioned and we know how rare that is with toys like these. That'd be less than 20', but I forgot about the tongue of the trailer. I thought maybe I'd put the trailer in the garage (6x10) and then put the ranger in right in front of it. So, any ideas? I originally thought I might be able to put the trailer in the garage and then drive the ranger onto it inside the garage, but then I realized that the trailer would tilt and not allow me to do that. Somehow I don't think it'll be quite that low. I know the ranger is 75" tall according to the specs on the website, so that means the surface of the trailer must be at 8" or lower. ![]() One trailer outfit was wrecked in a highway mixup and the driver of this. Problem is that I can't drive the trailer into the garage with the ranger on it b/c the entrance into the garage is 83" tall. were preparing to start one boat jambed its steering gear and turned over. The garage is 20' deep and the ceiling is at 95". I've got a 3rd garage that could house it, but as I said in another thread my homeowner's association says I can't keep my trailer outside permanently. It’s interesting that you’re using an American reference to apply to Canada.I haven't bought my ranger/trailer yet b/c I'm still trying to figure out how/where to store it. Where subject to **damage **unless protected in accordance to 230.50(A) Perhaps if you understood electrical better you would not be so scared of what you do not understand.Įxposed SEC here needs to be covered by PVC. I find it ironic that with electrical being your weak area that you had any cause to question an inspector that is most likely way more qualified than you to make this call. Just because he did not see it the same way you did was no call to report him. As such it is up to the inspector to decide if additional protection is required. I hope that you remember that physical damage is a subjective term and may not be defined under the CEC. If it is out of the reach of children I would just recommend added protection but not call anyone on this one. Needless to say I reported him for his actions.īTW it was less than 4 feet high along the side and had no marking what so ever for warnings. tragics trail trailed trailer trailered trailering trailers trailers. He said it is protected and grabbed a nearby branch and hit it. jam jamb jambed jambing jamboree jamborees jamborees jambs jambs jammed. The service entrance round went right along the side of the trailer because they did not want to put the Electrical Panel in the bedroom. Here it has to be protected however I had one AHJ get mad at me for calling him out on a Trailer it must have been a **bad day **for him. ![]()
